BMW expands its range with X4 and expanding its production base with an investment of $ 900 million in its assembly plant in Spartanburg, SC.


"This is in response to growing global demand for the range of BMW  X4 includes BMW," BMW board member Frank-Peter Arndt said.


BMW says that the investment will create 300 new jobs at the factory. The automaker spent $ 750 million for expansion of plants in the production of BMW X3 2008 to 2010.


The X4 from the floor saying that the transmissions and chassis as the X3, but with an individual style gives it a sportier image. BMW plans to locate new car than the current BMW X3.

BMW X4 will compete with the next small Porsche SUV, called Cajun, and all Ute small Audi. It also seems to adapt to the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.


The X4 is expected to have a choice of petrol or four or six cylinder diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission, a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission or an eight reports. So far, BMW does not give a two-wheel drive version.


On top of the range - if all goes according to plan - will be a model X4 M. He would get performance enhancements usual style with a future bi-turbo inline six-cylinder engine and a seven-speed to double clutch.
